Diary of Events

Mon 15 Aug 2022 – Paul Stepto

Paul is of course well known as an organiser and resident at the club. His songs accompanied by guitar or mandolin, range from the comic to the more thought provoking.

Mon 5 Sep 2022 – Fourgone Confusion

Two of our residents, John & Di Cullen, are joined by Pete & Brenda Storer to form a formidable foursome. Beautiful harmony singing, accompanied by a variety of instruments and presenting an eclectic mix of material, makes this an evening not to be missed.

Mon 19 Sep 2022 – Richard Grainger

Welcome return of a man who writes songs about his native Teeside and about the sea, accompanied by guitar. The North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby Town and the East Coast, Captain Cook’s “Endeavour” and Cleveland Steel all feature in his songs. Richard Grainger

Mon 3 Oct 2022 – Paul Walker & Karen Pfeiffer

With two grand voices – individually and in harmony, the Anglo-German duo Paul Walker & Karen Pfeiffer offer a versatile miscellany of self-penned and imaginatively arranged songs, delivered with guitar, woodwind instrumentation and occasional percussion. Paul Walker & Karen Pfeiffer

Mon 17 Oct 2022 – Christopher Mark Jones

Soulful country and blues-inflected Americana narratives in “a rich voice that’s slightly rough around the edges” (Scott Mervis, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), but still grabs the listener along with his “fascinating lyrics”. Christopher Mark Jones

Mon 7 Nov 2022 – Nick Dow

A man with a superb voice and sensitive guitar accompaniments who has been on the folk scene for over forty years. He is best known for his traditional songs, some of which he has collected, especially in the West Country and from the travelling community. Nick Dow
