First and third Mondays of each month from 8-11 pm. Musicians, singers and audience welcome.

Evening Fee

A hat collection is held on guest nights and a contribution of £7 (£5 concessions) is suggested.

Mon 19 Feb 2018 – Alan Austen & Linda Smith

Noted for traditional and Alan’s self-penned songs, this local duo perform with various instruments and harmonies.

 

Mon 5 Mar 2018 – Cosgrave & Banks

Mike Cosgrave (accordion, guitar, whistle) and Steve Banks (fiddle, vocals, Hardanger fiddle, guitar) have joined forces to form an exciting folk duo. They are both very skilled and experienced musicians, and together they play exciting, imaginative arrangements of captivating folk music from Britain, Europe, and beyond, both traditional and contemporary. Mon 19 Mar – Alden, Patterson & Dashwood

Influenced by folk traditions on both sides of the Atlantic, this trio weave rich vocal harmonies, fiddle, dobro, guitar and mandolin around beautifully written original songs and melodies. Alden, Patterson & Dashwood

Bank Holiday Singaround, all singers and musicians welcome, or anyone else to come and listen. No admission charge, just bring your voices and instruments.

Mon 16 Apr 2018 – Malcolm Bushby

Originally from Tasmania, Malcolm is steeped in the Scottish fiddle tradition of his forebears. He is also a fine singer and plays the bouzouki and whistles, and has received tributes from Tom McConville with whom he has collaborated. Malcolm Bushby 

Mon 21 May 2018 – Tom Lewis

A legend of the nautical festival circuit, Tom sings rip-roaring shanties and other songs of a salty nature, with and without accompaniment of Button accordion or ukulele. Come along and have a good sing! Tom Lewis

 

 

 

Mon 4 Jun 2018 – Sam Walter

An immensely talented young singer with a new slant on traditional songs, and his own songs written in the traditional style. Expect stirring songs about Jacobite uprisings and the Napoleonic wars. Sam Walter
